600 YARD RANGE
50 YARD PISTOL

LRGC Members: First let me wish everyone a happy Holiday Season and a prosperous and happy New Year. The club has had a very good 2023. Financially we are in good shape. We have completed another year of significant improvements at the new range. These improvements include a dedicated pistol pit in the short range bay, target posts and frames installed at the long range all the way out to 600 yards and improvements to our roads and infrastructure. The club now has over 100 members, a number we have not seen in many years. With the increase in membership we have had some new ideas, more help at events and more folks looking to the future. 2023 also saw the return of the ice fishing derby, which was a HUGE success in every way. The return of the gun show was also very successful. Both of these events have once again proven popular with the club and the public. What's new for 2024? First will be a restructuring of our membership fee structure. The membership fee is used to cover club insurance and general operating costs of the club. As with everything else these costs have seen significant increases over the last year, and as a result we have had to increase the annual membership fee to $75. Access will remain the same; guests and family members are still welcome with paid members. A reminder to members: please keep the number of guests to that which the member can supervise. Additionally, we have established an in-area vs. out-of-area membership policy. We will still welcome folks from outside this area and they will have the same rules and access, but will now pay a $250 membership fee. All existing members (12/31/2023) whose primary residence is outside Lake, Chaffee, Summit or Eagle counties may renew their memberships before April each year and will continue at the local rate. We have also put a cap on the total number of members so we can maintain the operation of the club in the same way as always. Look forward to the fishing derby coming up Feb. 10 and 11 and the gun show in August as well. And as always, input from members is always welcome. See you on the range! Chris Cary
